A push-your-luck dice game for 2 or more players with six dice.
Your turn
- Roll all six dice.
- Set aside at least one scoring die or combination.
- Either bank your points for the turn, or roll the dice you have left to try for more.
- If a roll has nothing that scores, that's a farkle. You lose everything from this turn and play passes left.
- If all six dice score (hot dice), you can pick them all up and keep rolling.
Scoring
| Single 1 | 100 |
| Single 5 | 50 |
| Three 1s | 1,000 |
| Three of any other number | number × 100 |
| Four of a kind | 1,000 |
| Five of a kind | 2,000 |
| Six of a kind | 3,000 |
| Straight (1–6) | 1,500 |
| Three pairs | 1,500 |
| Four of a kind + a pair | 1,500 |
| Two triplets | 2,500 |
Scoring only counts within a single roll. Two 1s from one roll and a 1 from the next are three single 1s, not three of a kind.
Getting on the board
Many groups require 500 points in one turn before your scores start to count.
Winning
The first player to reach 10,000 sets off the final round: everyone else gets one more turn to beat them. Highest score wins.
House rules
Farkle scoring varies a lot from table to table. Set three 1s, the board minimum and the three-farkle penalty to match how your group plays.
